Marisol Ramírez is a litigator based in DTO’s Los Angeles office. Marisol handles complex commercial litigation, having represented clients in contract, fraud, negligent misrepresentation, securities, and government investigation matters. She has experience with all aspects of litigation, including dispositive motion practice and managing high-volume discovery.

Among her recent achievements, Marisol successfully defended a professional services client facing claims brought by investors and lenders in Delaware state court. She obtained a dismissal based on lack of personal jurisdiction and for forum non conveniens. And, as lead associate in a matter representing an accounting firm facing over twenty inquiries and investigations by state boards of accountancy related to personnel conduct, her strategic approach led to the closure of these matters and included negotiating settlement agreements and overseeing the client’s post-settlement obligations. In another notable case, Marisol served as counsel in an arbitration against a client's former distributor, addressing breach of contract and conversion of intellectual property claims. Following two arbitration hearings, she obtained a permanent injunction and secured damages exceeding $6 million.

As a bilingual attorney, Marisol has utilized her Spanish speaking skills to represent clients from all over Latin America. For example, she represented a client in an internal investigation of a Colombian subsidiary involving potential bribery and compliance concerns. Through meticulous document review and onsite witness interviews in Colombia, she provided a comprehensive report of findings and recommended actions that her client then implemented.

Prior to joining DTO, Marisol worked as an associate at Sidley Austin LLP. In her spare time, Marisol likes to spend her time with her husband, running, cycling, training for the LA Marathon, and going on road trips.
