We take the same approach for these matters as we do with all our cases—we try to get our clients the “win” they want as quickly and efficiently as possible.  We learn their business objectives and make them top of mind as we craft our litigation strategy.  Sometimes, our strategy involves an immediate attack at the pleading stage, which can lead to outright dismissal or transfer of the matter to a more favorable forum.  Other times, it involves taking targeted discovery as we prepare to secure victory on summary judgment.  And, in certain instances, it means fighting all the way through to a verdict, post-trial motion, and appeal.  

Even though our litigators have all been to trial, we also pride ourselves in crafting creative strategies to resolve matters in a way that meets our clients’ needs.  Our extensive mediation experience serves us well in that department: we have handled over 175 mediations, and one of our attorneys is a certified mediator.  

Some representative examples of cases our attorneys have handled are listed below:

  • On behalf of a private label manufacturer, secured summary judgment in a breach of contract dispute in which the plaintiff alleged it had not been provided bee propolis capsules as required by the contract.

  • On behalf of one of the country’s most prominent 3D printer manufacturers, prevailed on a demurrer in its favor in breach of warranty dispute.

  • Defended a leading technology company from a multi-million dollar breach of contract claim by a former employee.  After prevailing in a first bench trial, secured favorable settlement in the midst of a second bench trial before the Honorable Steven Wilson in the Central District of California.

  • Lead counsel in mass tort case related to one of California’s largest wildfires in history.  Secured key discovery victories and successfully mediated and arbitrated hundreds of claims.

  • Defended transnational corporation in employment discrimination case.  Employed early-stage mediation while highlighting unflattering factual findings to obtain dismissal of case with prejudice.

  • Defended multinational technology and consulting corporation in multiple breach of contract cases brought by its subcontractors.  Obtained sizeable attorneys’ fees award on behalf of client.
